I totally stole this quiz from AKA. Hope you don't mind! I saw it there, took it, and I'm always a sucker for quiz results that tell me I'm "unusual and somewhat paradoxical." ha!
Your Brain Usage Profile:
Auditory : 53%
Visual : 46%
Left : 36%
Right : 63%
Jennifer, you show a slight right-hemisphere dominance with a moderate preference for auditory processing, an unusual and somewhat paradoxical combination of characteristics.
You are drawn to a random and sometimes nonchalant synthesis of material. You learn as it seems important to a specific situation, and might even develop a resentment of others who attempt to direct your learning down a specific channel.
Your right-hemispheric dominance provides a structure that is only loosely organized and one which processes entire swatches of reality, overlooking details. You are emotional in your reactions and perceptual more than logical in your approach, although you can impose structure and a language base when necessary.
Your auditory preference, on the other hand, implies that you process information sequentially and unidimensionally. This combination of right-brain and auditory modes creates conflict, as you want to process data more rapidly than your natural processes allow.
Your tendency to be creative and free-flowing is accompanied by sufficient ability to organize and be logical, allowing you a reasonable degree of success in a number of different endeavors. You take in information methodically and systematically which can then be synthesized rapidly. In this manner, you manage to function consistently well, although certainly less efficiently than you desire.
You prefer the abstract and are a theoretician at heart while retaining the ability to be practical. You find the symbolism in a great deal of what you encounter and are something of a "mystic."
With regards to your lifestyle, you have the mentality which would be good as a philosopher, writer, journalist, or instructor, or possibly as a systems designer or social worker. Perhaps most important is your ability to "listen to your inner voice" as a mode of skipping over unnecessary steps to achieve your goals.
Take the quiz here.Labels: quizzes

What Makes You Happy?
Giving makes you happy.
Assuming you answered all of those questions honestly, you're what you might call a true altruist. Nothing satisfies you more deeply or more quickly than doing something for somebody else. Not only are you the type of the person that makes the world a better place, but you're also truly lucky-you feel a deep personal connection between doing well and being well. On the flip side, you need to be careful to remember that it is possible to do too much. Don't forget that you need some time and attention to yourself, too. After all, how many weekends in a row can you spend helping your friends move?

Yesterday, I awoke with stabbing pain in my lower right abdomen. I told myself if it persisted for over an hour, I'd call the doctor. An hour and a half later, I made the call.
I went in for the exam and listed off all my symptoms: the aforementioned stabbing pain, my period had started that morning almost a week late, and the lack of fever or nausea. They ran a pregnancy test just to be sure (despite my surgery last year), and they took a blood test, just to be extra sure. The doctor did an examination. They determined that I have an ovarian cyst. Not the scary kind, though... it should be gone by tomorrow morning.
So, yesterday, I rested. All day, I rested. And I read Go Ask Alice front to back. It's a short read (obviously). It was pretty good, aside from the Epilogue. Here are three excerpts:
This morning I looked out the window and saw new green popping through the soil and I started crying uncontrollably again. I don't really understand the resurrection. I can't even conceive how Gramps' body which will decay and sour and mold and mildew and fall into crumbling little bits can ever come back together again. But I can't understand how a brown dried-up, shriveled little gladiola bulb can reblossom either. I guess that God can put atoms and molecules and bodies together again if a gladiola bulb without even a brain can do it.
I truly must have lost my mind or at least control of it, for I have just tried to pray. I wanted to ask God to help me but I could utter only words, dark, useless words which fell on the floor beside me and rolled off into the corners and underneath the bed.
Everybody smokes here and the halls are filled with fumes and gray circling smoke, there isn't even anywhere for it to go. It seems as trapped and confused as the patients.
And since I couldn't manage to do much else yesterday, I took an online quiz thingy. This one was to determine my primary Love Language (based on the studies of Dr. Gary Chapman). Turns out, I've changed since I last read the book... I was never much of a Physical Touch kind of person until lately. Now, my usual Acts of Service is on par with Physical Touch. I'm getting more lovey and less cynical. It's a welcomed change.
My primary love languages are probably
Acts of Service and Physical Touch.
Complete set of results
Acts of Service: 8
Physical Touch: 8
Quality Time: 6
Receiving Gifts: 6
Words of Affirmation: 2
Information: Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others. Take the quiz
Today, I'm still resting and doped up. I'm so stir-crazy. But, hopefully, I'll be back to myself soon.Labels: general, literary, quizzes, whining

Questions from the magnificent Penny...
1. Most vengeful thing you ever did as a child
I'm not certain of this. I used to play mind games with my brother all the time, and it drove him nuts. But I can't think of any one particular event. I did do a couple of mean things in middle and high school, but I'd rather not 'fess up to them quite yet.
2. Meanest friend you ever had as a child
There was a little girl in Kindergarten that I wanted to be my friend. She was so pretty and seemed like fun to hang out with at recess. So, I asked her if she would be friends with me, and she said, "No, I have enough friends, thank you." I thought she was being polite at the time. Funny.
3. Nicest thing you ever did as a child
I let people copy off my homework a lot, in hopes it would make them be friends with me. Does that count?
4. Nicest friend you ever had as a child
My stuffed animals. Ha! No, but really, Christy was always really nice to me at school. And Brianne was always nice to me at church and in choir. (The choir trip bickering didn't begin until after middle school...)
5. The meanest thing and nicest thing you do for/to your self now that you are grown
The meanest thing I do to myself is when I let (or make?) myself sit and dwell on painful memories. By painful memories, I don't mean broad events or long periods of time. I mean just single, stabbing statements. And sometimes I write things down privately, and I make myself go back and read them and rehash those emotions that have past. The worst feelings are those of helplessness and worthlessness. They sneak up on me a lot when I let them.
The nicest thing I do for myself physically is a nice, long bath or a nail-buffing session. Sometimes I treat myself with some Jell-O or muffins. Mmm... muffins. Mentally, the nicest thing I do is just allowing myself to chill out, listen to some Björk and/or Radiohead, and just veg out. I don't let myself do that much.Labels: quizzes, self-assessment

10 Questions from Penny:
1. What is the most memorable scene you've ever wished you had your camera for and didn't? There's not really one particular moment that comes to mind. I do wish I could take pictures at inappropriate times, though... usually in crowded spaces like elevators or waiting rooms or sometimes of people washing their hands in the bathroom. I'm afraid it might draw too much attention to me.
2. What is the most memorable photograph you do have (yours or otherwise) and why? I bought an entire suitcase full of photos from a flea market once, because the guy wouldn't sell me just one of them. The one I wanted was a double-exposed shot of a Catholic couple cutting a wedding cake and a lady walking by close-up. It looks like the couple is laughing gleefully whilst whittling off a chunk of the lady's head.
3. What is your favorite color to paint your toenails and how does it make you feel? Green or blue (or green and blue). It makes me feel like there's little cute bugs on my toes.
4. When do you remember becoming self-aware? I'm not sure of an exact moment. I know it was before I was 4 (when I started Kindergarten). I used to remember a lot more about my childhood, and now all I remember is that I used to remember things.
5. What is your favorite memory or trait involving your mother? My mother's very creative. I enjoy sharing project ideas with her. She bounces when she gets excited, and her eyes turn into little upside-down crescents like an anime character.
6. What is your favorite memory or trait involving your father? My father's very quirky. I enjoy that trait. My father says "all right!" a lot when he is happy about something, and I always seek his approval.
7. Has there ever been a regretable statement uttered by your own mouth which you still wish you could take back and reword? Not one uttered by my mouth; one that was written. Several that were written. I'll learn one of these days to be more careful when I write things.
8. If you had your own country, what would you call it, what would the flag look like and would it be mostly land-locked or ocean-side. I'm not sure what my country would be called. It would most likely be small (I'm not sure how to run a country... never was even any good at Age of Empires or Sim City), and it would probably be landlocked.
9. What would you like to name your boychild, girlchild and/or horse. I've never wanted children, so I've never really thought of a boychild name I like. However, I do like the name "Lily Moon" for a girl. I like most any flower names for girls ("Violet," "Rose," "Iris," et cetera). For a horse, I'd probably name it "Pickles." Or "Horsey Horsey."
10. Is there a quote that comes to mind or a book that you reread or a movie that you watch when you are feeling blue that helps turn you orange and red again? Jonathan Livingston Seagull always makes me feel better.
Anyone else care to participate? Just pop 'em on your weblog, and let me know they're there via a comment, maybe? Or answer in my comments... I don't mind.Labels: quizzes

Yeah, yeah... a quiz thingy. I shouldn't get sucked into these sorts of things, but I do. I admit it.
You Have a Melancholic Temperament

Introspective and reflective, you think about everything and anything. You are a soft-hearted daydreamer. You long for your ideal life. You love silence and solitude. Everyday life is usually too chaotic for you.
Given enough time alone, it's easy for you to find inner peace. You tend to be spiritual, having found your own meaning of life. Wise and patient, you can help people through difficult times.
At your worst, you brood and sulk. Your negative thoughts can trap you. You are reserved and withdrawn. This makes it hard to connect to others. You tend to over think small things, making decisions difficult.

By request of Carrie... 5 random things about me:
1. It disturbs me when a phone call isn't ended with "bye" or "goodbye" or "good riddance" or something. Anything. I need closure.
2. I accidentally dropped a peanut into my shoe the other day. I'm not sure how that happened.
3. I did laundry today. It was riveting. Some guy tried to take my wet clothes out of the still-running washer to put his in while I was sitting RIGHT THERE. I told him those were my clothes, and he didn't understand the English I was speaking, apparently. I think he saw the glimmer of bloodlust in my eye, because he backed away slowly. His wife was at the door and she gave me a dirty look. Bitch.
4. About 5 years ago, someone once stole three shirts from our laundry. They were in the load of whites: Michael's Star Wars ringer shirt, my Nestea Plunge shirt, and one of my white tank tops with little multicolored stars on it. All three shirts rocked, and I still miss them.
5. Might as well finish this out on a laundry tangent... While I was living on campus in the dorms, I was relegated to using the dorm's laundry facilities. As my roommate and I walked in to get our clothes out of the dryers, we noticed that someone else had already pulled them out. No biggie. Less work. However, there was a girl standing with my laundry, and she was CARESSING one of my bras. Yes, totally molesting it. I'm not sure what was so fascinating about it. Maybe she hadn't seen one that small in years.
I'm not gonna tag anybody... so take it or leave it. :^)Labels: quizzes

Bored and taking quiz thingies again... Shoot me now. Just go ahead and shoot me. Put me out of my misery.
But, anyhow, moving on to my quiz results:
The Maid of Honor
Appreciated for your kindness and envied for all your experience, you are The Maid of Honor.
Charismatic, affectionate, and terrific in relationships, you are what many guys would call a "perfect catch"--and you probably have many admirers, each wishing to capture your long-term love. You're careful, extra careful, because the last thing you want is to hurt anyone. Especially some poor boy whose only crime was liking you.
We've deduced you're fully capable of a dirty fling, but you do feel that post-coital attachment after hooking up. So, conscientious person that you are, you do your best to reserve physical affection for those you respect...so you can respect yourself.
Your biggest negative is the byproduct of your careful nature: indecision. You're just as slow rejecting someone as you are accepting them.Labels: quizzes

I stole this from Daphne, even though I wasn't tagged...
7 Celebrity crushes:
Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, John Lennon (yes, I'm well aware that he's dead), Conan O'Brien, Ben Folds, Björk, Steve Buscemi... close runner-up: Bill Murray (and, yes, I know I'm strange)
7 Things I'm good at:
procrastinating, drawing, making logos, making fried potatoes, using a microwave, attracting stray cats, wearing holes in my socks
7 Things I plan to do before I die:
grow potatoes, do a cartwheel, do a headstand, make curtains for my house, own a house, get a friend for Osagi, sing in a choir again (more)
7 Things I cannot do:
write in cursive, parallel park, crochet, knit, call strangers, change the oil in my car, turn a cartwheel
7 Things that attract me to the opposite sex:
intelligence, humor, blue eyes, sarcasm, ingenuity, sincerity, fondness for animals
7 Things I say often:
"Yeah, well." "I see." "3 is my number." "All righty." "Howdy!" (jokingly... not in a redneck sorta way.) "Peachy." "While you're up and in the kitchen, would you please bring me a glass of soy milk?"Labels: quizzes

... and 100 more things...
201. I like making "100 Things" lists. Can you tell?
202. I don't communicate very well in person, so I stay in touch with many of my friends via email.
203. I tend to either reply immediately to emails, or I take a really long time. There is no happy medium.
204. There really isn't much I can tell you about me at this point that will interest you.
205. I almost always misspell the word "about" when I type it. I usually type "aobut," and then I have to go back and correct it.
206. I also almost always type "sex" instead of "sec." (As in "wait a sec.") This can get embarrassing.
207. My number is 3 in numerology.
208. I don't necessarily believe in numerology, but I have noticed things usually happen to me in sets of 3's.
209. This is probably mostly due to my overactive imagination.
210. Sometimes, when I'm stuck in traffic or driving long distances, I figure up people's numerology numbers in my head.
211. Another game I play whilst driving is to find each letter of the alphabet in signs or license plates. I try not to play this game, though, because I can't stop it once I start.
212. When I sometimes take the stairs up to my office instead of the elevator, the floors are labeled "D" through "M," then "1," "2," and "3." As I go up the letter levels, I think of words that start with the floor letters.
213. When I play this game, I always have a theme - like animals ("D" is for "donkey," "E" is for "elephant," "F" is for...) or countries, body parts, foods, etc.
214. Call me crazy, but it keeps me occupied.
215. I have trouble keeping my thoughts from running amok sometimes.
216. I've never been able to meditate. This is probably due to the aforementioned thoughts running amok.
217. I've never been to a shrink.
218. I don't wear make-up.
219. I rub my eyes a lot.
220. This is probably because I wear contacts, and they dry my eyes out.
221. I have glasses, but I don't like to wear them.
222. I look like a librarian when I wear my glasses.
223. I'm very near-sighted.
224. If I'm not wearing my glasses or contacts while I'm on the computer, I have to almost put my nose on the screen.
225. I tend to touch the computer screen when I'm pointing to things on it.
226. This results in fingerprints, of course, and it drives some people insane.
227. Fingerprints don't bother me.
228. I'm not a "touchy-feely" kind of person.
229. I have a comfort zone radius around me most of the time. The size of this radius depends on the person... and on how much I've been drinking.
230. I have no comfort zone radius around some people. Then, I am at ease.
231. When I use the phrase "at ease," I think of the Radiohead song "Fitter, Happier."
232. I could (and sometimes do) listen to Radiohead for months at a time on repeat.
233. My favorite Radiohead song to listen to on repeat is "How to Disappear Completely."
234. This is probably because I want to disappear a lot.
235. I feel invisible sometimes.
236. This is, of course, when I'm not busy feeling conspicuous.
237. The times when I do find the happy medium between invisible and conspicuous, I immediately fall out of it once I'm aware of it.
238. It's funny how that works. I rain on my own parade a lot.
239. I'm awfully cynical when it comes to emotional issues.
240. Ironically, though, I'm very optimistic, generally speaking.
241. When it comes to facing harsh reality or living in blissful denial, I tend to chose blissful denial.
242. I like to hum or whistle when I'm by myself.
243. I didn't learn to whistle till I was 17 or 18.
244. I still can't whistle on pitch.
245. My humming is much better. I was in a choir from 1989 through 1998.
246. I was a 2nd Soprano in choir.
247. I always wanted to be a 1st Soprano, though.
248. My best friend Brianne was in choir with me. We used to fight a lot on the choir trips.
249. I've been to a few foreign countries on choir trips - England, Wales, Italy, Germany (a stop-over in Frankfurt, where they lost my luggage), Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, and Hungary.
250. On personal trips out of the States, I've been to the Bahamas and Mexico.
251. Oddly enough, I've never been any farther west in the United States than Arkansas.
252. I can easily recite the 50 states in alphabetical order.
253. This is due to a silly choir song from when I was about 9 or 10 years old.
254. One day, I'd like to visit more of the U.S. As it is, I've only been to: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
255. I actually fit into most suitcases.
256. I have loose ligaments.
257. I have never turned a cartwheel.
258. I've also never stood on my head.
259. As a result, I feel like I'm missing out on a huge part of life.
260. I like to be outside.
261. Ironically, I spend most of my time indoors.
262. If the room temperature is below 73 degrees, chances are, I'm freezing my ass off.
263. I carry a sweater with me in my car wherever I go.
264. I also carry an afghan and a pillow in my car trunk, in case I get stranded somewhere.
265. I own no firearms.
266. I own no illegal substances.
267. I do have two lazy kitty cats, a tortoise, some fish, and a snake, though.
268. I can sew, but not very well.
269. Practice makes perfect, and I have trouble finding time to practice my sewing.
270. I enjoy taking pictures.
271. I have a photo weblog.
272. It sounds vain to have a photo weblog, but I'm really not vain at all.
273. In fact, this is turning out to be a sort of project in anti-vanity... I'm forced to post a picture every day, whether I feel happy about my appearance that day or not.
274. I find most photos of myself to be highly unappealing.
275. I would love to have a better camera.
276. In the Fall, I always have an urge to go on road trips just to take pictures.
277. My favorite days are those when the sky is a deep turquoise blue, the air is crisp, and the leaves are rustly.
278. I'm not sure if "rustly" is a word, but I like to use it anyway.
279. My favorite color of autumn leaves is bright orange, when silhouetted against the aforementioned deep blue sky.
280. My favorite color of flowers is also orange (tiger lilies).
281. I also like white flowers. They're easier to find than orange flowers.
282. My favorite trees are Magnolias and Weeping Willows.
283. I like to climb trees, and Magnolias are usually easy to climb, as they have low limbs.
284. No one cares what kind of trees I like, yes, I know.
285. I'm running out of things to say. Can you tell?
286. The first live concert I saw in Nashville was Harvey Danger. There. Laugh at me. That's entertaining, isn't it?
287. I carry a little white plastic rabbit in my car's cup holder. His name is Evil Vonda.
288. On my car's dashboard, I carry a little plastic Snoopy in a fire engine, and a little army man straddles my trip meter setter thingy.
289. When I don't hear from someone for a while, I convince myself that they don't like me anymore.
290. Sometimes, I dismiss this feeling as simple paranoia.
291. Other times, I let the paranoia run its course and fall into a little bout of depression.
292. I rarely look anyone in the eye.
293. This is not because I'm dishonest, but because I'm nervous.
294. When I do look at someone's eyes, I never forget them.
295. Usually, I am a very good judge of character, once I get past my initial anxiety and paranoia.
296. I can't remember names very well.
297. I don't recognize faces well, either, since I avoid looking at people I don't know well.
298. This will be my last 100 Things List (at least for a long while).
299. I'll get bored and figure out some other sort of list to make.
300. I'm sleepy now. G'night.

I normally stay away from posting silly quizzes... but this was pretty accurate, plus I got nothin' else to say right now. So, here it is (the slightly abridged version):
Your Existing Situation
Acts in an orderly, methodical, and self-contained manner. Needs the sympathetic understanding of someone who will give her recognition and approval.
Your Stress Sources
Suppresses her innate enthusiasm and imaginative nature, for fear that she might be carried away by it only to find herself pursuing some will-o'-the-wisp. Feels she has been misled and abused and has withdrawn to hold herself cautiously aloof from others. Keeps a careful and critical watch to see whether motives towards her are sincere--a watchfulness which easily develops into suspicion and distrust.
Your Restrained Characteristics
Egocentric and therefore quick to take offense. Feels that she cannot do much about her existing problems and difficulties and that she must make the best of things as they are. Circumstances force her to compromise and to forgo some pleasures for the time being. Capable of achieving physical satisfaction from sexual activity.
Your Actual Problem
Disappointment and the fear that there is no point in formulating fresh goals have led to stress and anxiety. She wants congenial contact with others and scope for development, but feels that her relationships are empty and her progress impeded.
Your Actual Problem #2
Wants to act freely and uninhibitedly, but is restrained by her need to have things on a rational, consistent, and clearly-defined basis.
The whole shebang or take the silly quiz yourself...Labels: quizzes

As if everyone is just dying to know even MORE about me...
100 MORE Things About Jennifer:
101. I like making lists and Excel Spreadsheets.
102. I enjoy peeling tape or stickers off things, especially the security tape on CDs and DVDs.
103. When I eat roasted peanuts, I pour a small amount in the lid, eat the whole ones first, eat the halves that have flavor on only one side second, and save the halves with goodie on both sides for last.
104. Sometimes I check my email over and over, as if someone might be writing me that very second, and I must refresh my mailbox to see if they have hit "send" yet.
105. I have a slight obsessive-compulsive streak. Who would have thought?
106. I tend to hold a grudge. Not in that "chip on your shoulder" kind of way, but more in that "once bitten, twice shy" sort of way.
107. Sometimes I forget to eat.
108. I like to hoard food, and I get angry when people eat it before I planned on eating it.
109. When eating, I like to save the bite that looks like it will be the most delicious one for very last. If, when I eat it, I realize it wasn't the very best bite, I feel cheated.
110. Sometimes, I will accidentally drop the very last bite onto the floor/ground before I get a chance to eat it, and that makes me sad.
111. I try not to eat things when I drop them on the floor, but sometimes I will if I dropped something that wasn't sticky.
112. I'm clutzy. Extremely clutzy.
113. I usually spill a drink on myself at least once a day.
114. This is why I usually drink water, aside from the fact that it's good for me.
115. I can listen to the same CD on loop for days or months at a time without getting tired of it.
116. I've been listening to the same CD all day today.
117. My officemate moved out in May 2005, and I was very lonely at work.
118. I'm scared to go places by myself.
119. Sometimes, I'll drive around outside of somewhere I need to go by myself, but I just can't manage to go in. I usually eventually go in, but only after at least 30 minutes of driving around.
120. After my officemate left, I had no one to go out to lunch with, walk to my car with, or to go sit in the sun with.
121. I feel lost sometimes.
122. There have been moments where I'm driving, and I absolutely have no idea where I am. I snap out of it and figure it out eventually.
123. I love getting non-work-related email.
124. I don't like answering the phone.
125. I also don't like calling people.
126. I've gotten into heated arguments before to get other people to call someone. I really don't like calling people.
127. I prefer not to be the first person to walk into a room.
128. I get annoyed at men who won't walk through the door if I'm holding it open for them.
129. I get annoyed at people who don't at least make an attempt to hold the door open as they're exiting when you're leaving right behind them. Come on, people. It's only common courtesy not to let the door slam in someone's face.
130. I'm having trouble remembering what I did or didn't put on the first "100 Things" list. I'm thinking there will probably be some repeats in here.
131. I don't like rap music.
132. I despise Britney Spears and all she represents.
133. If while I sit in my office, my back is to the door, it is disconcerting for me.
134. I changed the arrangement of my office furniture, and I enjoyed it immensely.
135. I would rather be in a smaller office, because it doesn't feel so lonely.
136. Most people hide their oddities much better than I do.
137. I feel very awkward in public places or large gatherings.
138. I like words that look like what they mean - like "awkward," "conspicuous," "evil," "peculiar," "frustrating," "blissful," and so on.
139. I like to make up my own words.
140. I also like to make up my own titles for songs.
141. I misunderstand lyrics more than most people. For instance, until recently, I thought the Tom Petty song "Running Down a Dream" was "Running Down the Drain."
142. Going to karaoke opened my eyes to a lot of song lyrics that I didn't know I was misunderstanding.
143. I like to name inanimate objects and plants.
144. I'm an incurable pack-rat. I get very attached to objects.
148. When eating pancakes, I cut every bite into little perfect geometric shapes, move them all to the back half of my plate, prop the back end of the plate up by placing a face-down spoon under it, and pour the syrup on the front half of the plate. This way, the syrup doesn't touch the pancakes. This process is very time-consuming, but well worth the trouble.
149. I like to put maple syrup in my coffee at the Waffle House.
150. I like my hash browns scattered with lots of ketchup.
151. I don't eat meat.
152. I don't drink dairy, eat ice cream, or eat cheese.
153. The one exclusion to this rule is cheesecake. I must preserve my sanity.
154. I still eat things made with milk like cookies, cakes, chocolate, and so on. I love sweets.
155. My favorite cake (besides cheescake) is angel food cake.
156. I also love chocolate cake.
157. Strawberry cake with cream cheese icing is another of my favorites.
158. This is making me really hungry.
159. I like to get cake for my birthday, but I get depressed when a ton is left over, and there's no one to help me eat it.
160. I had one surprise party thrown for me (but I saw it coming... hehe).
161. My birthday is easily forgotten, as it falls right after the infamous 9/11.
162. That's okay, though. It's never bothered me when people forget things like that.
163. I'm a Virgo.
164. I have grown to totally fit the typical description of a Virgo as I get older.
165. I'm very predictable (once you get to know me).
166. I'm also very sensible.
167. Sometimes, I'm too predictable and sensible. I forget how to have fun.
168. I like to frolic, though.
169. I usually end up hurting myself when I frolic.
170. I worry excessively, though I try not to.
171. When someone is running late, my first thought is usually "what if they're face-down in a ditch somewhere?!"
172. When someone is sick, I want to feed them soup, make them hot tea, give them vitamins/medication, and tuck them into bed.
173. It's a shame I'm not having children, because I would make an excellent grandmother.
174. I pour all my need for nurturing into caring for my pets and friends.
175. I clean like a whirlwind. I pick up whatever I see first, move it where it needs to be, find something else, move it where it needs to be, find something else, move it... you get the picture. In about an hour, you can see a marked change for the better.
176. Once I finish with the surface cleaning, I then get down to the nitty-gritty scrubbing and such, which takes much longer.
177. I only do in-depth cleaning when I'm in a Cleaning Mood.
178. My Cleaning Moods only come around once in a blue moon.
179. Stay far, far away from me when I'm in a Cleaning Mood.
180. Stay far, far away from me when I'm in any of my strange moods. You might get hurt. Seriously. I've been known to bite.
181. My cats like to bite each other. I usually scold them when they play rough and tell them to "play nicely, boys." They look at me like I'm crazy. I suppose it's warranted.
182. I used to have a cat meowing sound on my AOL account when I signed on. When this sound played, O'Malley would almost always promptly start humping Osiris.
183. This amused me for a while. Then, it began to disturb me, so I took the cat meow sound away.
184. I've always had an obsession with cats as far back as I can remember.
185. As a child, I always wanted a cat to cuddle in the bed with me at night.
186. O'Malley and Osiris cuddle in the bed with me, and that makes me very happy.
187. I tend to obsess over things and people. Not all these obsessions are healthy ones, but I suppose everyone has their vices. It could be worse.
188. Since I know I have a tendency to become obsessed, I try to stay away from things that are addictive for most people (chemicals, games, et cetera). I figure avoidance will save me from a lot of trouble, in the end.
189. One game I should have avoided ever playing is Minesweeper.
190. When I play Minesweeper, I set it on the largest possible custom playing field with 200 bombs.
191. I like a challenge, and I've never beaten it on this setting.
192. Luckily for me, I've yet to find a good version of Minesweeper for the Mac. I still have it on the PC, though, I rarely use the PC.
193. I love my Mac.
194. Michael talked me into getting the 23" flat-panel widescreen monitor (not sure if I used those terms correctly, but who cares?), and it spoiled me.
195. It takes a lot to get me to spend my money. I hoard it.
196. When I go shopping, I rarely buy anything that isn't on sale or clearance.
197. I wrote the first "100 Things" list all at once. I wrote this one over the course of several sittings. You can kind of tell where I stopped and started up again.
198. That bothers me. Part of me wants to go back and edit it, so it flows through more smoothly.
199. Then, the lazy part of me says "screw it, no one will care but you."
200. The lazy part of me won. Can you tell?Labels: quizzes, self-assessment
