you just keep me hangin' on

Today, Michael and I frolicked in the park with our friends Bristow, Stephanie, and Jake (Stephanie's black lab). It was mighty fun. We [attempted to] throw and [attempted to] catch the Frisbee. There are very few things I enjoy more than running around barefoot in nice, soft grass on a sunny day.

REWIND: Before heading out to the park, Michael and I decided to run some errands and stop by the Sonic. One of our favorite activities is people-watching at the Sonic that faces a little shopping center. This shopping center has 4 stores in it: Perk Central (honkey white guy coffee shop), Sambukkah's (African-American barber salon), La Usulateca (Mexican grocery store), and the 21 & Up Adult Video store. We've made it a little game to guess which store the people will go to as they pull into the parking lot. They're usually going to the porn store. After about 20 minutes, we finally got tired of people-watching and decided to head back home. There was one small problem, though - I'd left my car lights on this whole time. My battery was dead. We had to walk home, get Michael's car, come back, and jump-start my car. It was about a 30-minute walk. It really was an enjoyable walk, though. :^)

FAST-FORWARD: I got a lot done on my portfolio tonight. It's almost done. Woo-hoo! I really needed to get crackin' on it, because I procrastinated all last night (writing this) instead of working on it.

All in all, a good day. And you betcha, I needed it. Badly.

This is not a joke. Whenever my mom and I are at the airport we play "spot the gay kids". I'm totally serious. We sit there and point out all the kids whose parents have no clue little Johnny whacks off to the mens underwear ads in the Sears catalogue. There's nothing wrong with being gay. My brother-in-law is gay, and so are a few friends, but it's fun speculate on the sexual preferences of some parents offspring. In fact, I've played this game with my gay brother-in-law before. He liked giving his professional opinion on each one tossing in when he thought they'd eventually come out to thier oblivious parents. Good times...

I stopped reading after Sonic. SONIC!! I love them and their food. I used to eat there all the time in NM but they don't have any Sonics out here...not that I've been able to find, anyway. I would give up BOTH my kids for a Route 44 Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. YES I WOULD!
