fork in the road

Forks and spoons should be loaded into the dishwasher handle-down. They get cleaned much more effectively with the dirty part up and sticking out of the little basket thingy.

Surely, I'm not the only person out there who feels this way.

Silverware goes functional side down. id rather have someone pick it up by the handle than the part i eat with.

Um, that's why you wash your hands before you empty the clean dishes out of the dishwasher.

I could sit there and watch someone scrub their hands with ethyl alcohol and steel wool for 2 hours, and I still wouldn't want them touching the business end of my silverware.

Actually, I wouldn't want someone who's been scrubbing their hands with steel wool for 2 hours touching anything of mine for that matter.

And I'm confused? Who's doing the dishes the wrong way here? :)
