dust in the wind

I should stop reading about quantum physics. It makes me feel very small and insignificant. Take this, for instance: The mass of this black hole is 300 million times the mass of our Sun. Now, I'm no mathematician, but that's pretty friggin' big.

I had similar feelings when I read Bill Bryson's 'A Short History of Nearly Everything' especially since he always pointed out how little we know and how incredibly huge or small things are. Some things are beyond imagination, in a very literal sense. It kind of makes you dizzy.

I read about quantum physics sometimes at work when I'm trying to "clear my mind before starting a new project" (aka: procrastinating).

Maybe I should look into lighter reading material? Quantum physics hurts my brain. Plus, I don't like numbers.
